I installed one of these on my tahoe in combination with my Mechman 270 Amp alternator and 4 XS Power Batteries. With two Crescendo BC5500D's, on full tilt (Thats around 12,000 w RMS!), and the AVBM II set to around 15.0 volts of output, I experience only .2v of voltage drop! That is incredible! 2 Thumbs up for a great product!!!

AVBM II for 2002 through 2007 Ford F250/F350 Superduty with 6.0L or 7.3L engine and SINGLE ALTERNATOR, as well as other Fords with NON-PCM controlled 6G alternators. Will not fit F250/F350 with dual alternators
The AVBM II (adjustable voltage boost module) is a simple, easy to install device that gives the user the ability to adjust the charging voltage of their alternator. A 6" adapter a harness plugs in between the alternator plug and the vehicles original alternator plug. The in-car control module is then mounted inside the vehicle. An easy to read blue LED voltmeter displays the alternator's charging voltage, while a simple adjustment knob mounted on the control module allows for quick and easy voltage adjustment on the fly. The AVBM II is compatible with OEM or aftermarket alternators, as long as the alternator was built with the standard internal voltage regulator for the original vehicle application.
The AVBM II is proudly made in the USA, and is guaranteed against manufacturer's defect for two years from the date of purchase.
- The AVBM II is not an external voltage regulator. It is a device that manipulates the charging setpoint of an alternator's internal voltage regulator.
- The AVBM II does not increase the amperage output of an alternator.
- The AVBM II will not fix low voltage at idle problems caused by an alternator that does not charge at idle.
It is imperative that the AVBM II is never turned up above the recommended charging voltage for the vehicle, battery, or equipment installed in the vehicle, otherwise serious damage may occur.
