New for 2014, Shallow Mount!
At the heart of the SSA Dcon line up, we have the SSA Dcon 10S2/S4. It is an optimal choice for the discerning ear that wants nothing but pure reproduction of the recording in an affordable American made driver. The Dcon thrives in small to medium sized sealed enclosures, and for someone who wants that extra bit of output without sacrificing space; the Dcon really comes alive in smaller ported enclosures. A combination of decent excursion, a strong FEA optimized motor, and a light weight pulp fiber cone, all add up to clean controlled sound from an excellent shallow mount subwoofer.
2" wide, 4 layer, copper coil

The only bad thing that I have to say about the D-Con. After I ordered it, it took about a month for it to show up at my door step. But once it did, I was like a child on Christmas morning. It is a solid sub that gives a lot of boom for the small amount of power needed. With just one 10" D-Con hooked up to a 300 watt amp, and fitted into a ported box, my system bumps hard and sounds good. It gives a deep long rubble and higher pitch thumps with no distortion in every song. It might not be the loudest, but it is one of the best sounding subs I have ever owned.

Let me start off by saying that if you're in a hurry to throw a system together then this probably isn't the sub for you. It took a little over a month to get it to my doorstep, but let me tell you--I would have gladly waited another month for this sub! I have a 2012 Golf TDI so hatch space it pretty limited, but one of these things in a .7-.75 cubic feet box produces some ridiculously hard-hitting bass that is tight and clean! I'm powering it with a JL Audio JX-500.1D and I can't even turn the bass all the way up without fear of body panels trying to fall off. Any brand will do if all you want it to shake the car, but if you want some serious bass that sounds CLEAN and can actually hit on more of those mid freqs then without a doubt this is the only sub you should be looking at.

Bought one at Xmas for my sons Mini Cooper built a box last weekend
1.25 cu ft tuned at 33hz Had to run all new wires because of the Harmon kardon radio and amp ditched those for an alpine. Have it running off a US amps 800.2 at 4 ohm stereo and this thing hits hard and low and great Sq as well might buy 2 more for my TDI Cup
If your looking for great bass don't buy RE, JL, or any of those cookie cutter brands buy these!

Got this sub expecting a good quality/price ratio. Completely exceeded expectations! In a 1.25 cube box it very easily got down to the mid-30Hz range. Never expected this from a 10". Also maintained good kick for rock music too. Very satisfied, I'll probably get another.

This weekend i decided to give my brother's DCON's a try in the trunk of my '95 GranSport. Sent 150 watts to each one , and i can't believe my ears or eyes. My steering wheel was flexing along with the dash too , and don't get me started on the trunk. It looked like kung-fu ninja midgets were trying to break outta my trunk. Best subs in this price/power range. Awesome output with killer SQ.

I've been riding my brother for months to try these out. He ditched his JL TW5 13" for a pair of the dcon's. Amazing difference. The dcons get way deeper , play way louder , and sound great. Lots of attack for metal music , and they boom the rap music like there is no tommorrow. Running 2 of them in a 2.5 CUFT box tuned to 32hz. powering them with a jl 500/1. They are SOOOOOOOOO badass! Can't wait to get me one or two for my truck.
