I purchased an SSA GCON in August of 2012..and was patiently waiting to install it for two years. This was my first ever system, and I am more than pleased with the end product!
I am very indecisive, and originally started looking at "pre-loaded" systems where it was mostly plug and play...and after a year and a half of research and some tough decision making, I went with the GCON. It was originally going to be installed in Chrysler and ended up in a Dodge!
I am running RF mid-range speakers on a PPI 4 channel, with a Sundown Audio SAZ-1200D (another awesome product!) for the GCON. It has clarity, and it hits hard and low.
I demo'd a Chrysler 300 that was running sixteen Type R 6x9's, two 15" L7's, and four Massive horns before working on my system at the shop. After the completion, we demo'd my car...the gentleman who taught me how to install everything said that this one 12" woofer was louder than his whole setup in the 300...it was confirmed by is associate. If you want a LOUD and CLEAR woofer for under $300..this is the way to go. I will be posting a build log on the forum in the next week with all of the pictures as well as some videos hopefully!
SSA is a high quality brand who is dedicated to their customers, I switched from another "big-box" brand and will never go back! The next system will feature another SSA woofer!

If you want a good solid sub with a clear sound for under $300, this is the perfect sub for you. Expect to wait a few months however the wait is well worth it.

I ordered 2 GCON 12's close to the end of July, I finally got them just over 2 months later. There was some sort of problem with their parts suppliers. I've had the subs for a little over a week now and they truly amaze me. This is my 4th set and i have had Fusions, MTXs, and Alpines and this is by far the best set. I'm running these 2 in a 1.3 cubic feet sealed box in a Yukon Denali with an audiopipe ap 1500.1 amp. I'm pushing 1500 watts at 1 ohm. These speakers really do have that pure crisp bass sound. Really take advantage of a great hand crafted American product. The only thing that I did not like was the long wait time, besides that they were very good at responding to e-mails and keeping me updated on what was going on when they received an update. Definitely worth it, don't look over them just because this isn't a well known brand. Sound Solutions is definitely coming up and deserves to be up there with top competitors.

I decided to wire in a system in my car, it's been many years since I've had one and products have changed. Not knowing anything anymore I researched for a reputable place to do business and sell excellent products. In the mean time I wired in a kicker L3 for temporary. Sounded pretty decent! But lacks many bass notes... When I found the Gcon, reviews were excellent, so i ordered one 12" and Well worth the wait! This thing is exceptional for sound quality and deep notes! Love it! SSA is excellent in quality and customer service! Ill be ordering again from them! Thank you SSA!!

If you're in the market for a truly versatile sub, then look no further. Paying <$200 for an American designed and assembled product is unheard of, let alone with such quality and a 3" coil!
I bought 4 12"s the hour they were released, and have been using them everyday since. Competitive burping, ground-pounding, demoing both spl and clarity I'm more than happy with my purchase. If you can see through the vlurred bision these subs cause you can literally watch your car shake apart!
Turn the bass knob down to blend with the front stage to really show what bass can add to any music. The Gcons bass reproduction is pin-point accurate. The tight double drums or the beat of a bass guitar will leave you with a smile on your face every time you really listen to your music they way it was meant to be heard.

So this is what al the hype is about.
I was skeptical about buying these because SSA is a still a relatively up-and-coming brand. I have never seen or dealt with any SSA products before the Gcons.
Got 2 12s sealed at 600W each. They SLAM even sealed and they're really clean; these things are heavy duty. Awesome product. Don't let the 750w RMS scare you off, they sound great even with lower power set-ups. They barely get warm even at extended periods of high volume, I'm talking beating on them HARD (safely of course) for ~3 hours with no breaks.
SSA = $$. The Gcons were money well spent in my book. Great performance for a great price and I'll never go big-name again. I see them lasting for years to come.

This is an amazing sub for a great price. It sounds super clean, gets very low, hits hard and gets loud; all in musical tastefulness. It will handle much more than the recomended rating but will also sound very good in low power set-ups (Have tried it at 375 watts at 8 ohms and 900 watts at 2 ohms). You can't beat this subwoofer plus its made in the USA! SSA is very top notch!
