  1. aq2200 and 2 sa12s

Posted by tod stevenson on 8th Oct 2012

I have two sa12s with an aq2200 wired to 1 ohm and it plays and stays cool if you dont clip the amp and they sound really nice I have mine in a 4 cubic foot L ported box tuned to 35hz and it sounds great.

  2. Awesome Bang For The Buck!

Posted by Aaron A on 5th Oct 2012

These subwoofers are one of the best deals around. They play the lows like no other and hit the highs just as good. I have mine in a 4cuft box tuned to 32hz and the low notes play with power! I have an MB Quart ONX2000D giving each about 650w RMS and they sound amazing. These subs can take at least 800+ though. Don't miss out on these!

  3. nice subs

  5. The Best You Can Get For Cheap Too!

Posted by SS on 6th Jul 2012

Amazing subwoofer, can take a lot of power, and sounds AMAZING, i got mine in a 2.3cubes box and it SLAMS, im putting about 800-900 watts on it too, all my friends compliment me on how loud it is. It is a head turner outside too, sitting in traffic, crank it, and watch heads turn.

  6. Sundown never stops surprising me!

Posted by Odeh on 6th Jul 2012

Definitely worth every penny I spent on it. Ive got mine in a 2 cube box with a 4in wide, 17 in long aero port mounted outside the box. Its tuned to about 29hz and Ive got a AQ 2200D on it with 1100 watts going to it right now and it is slammin. Deff perfect for a system on a budget. I used to have a sundown z.v2 18 and of course it was louder but damn if im not surprised on how one SA12 can do this much. 600 watts RMS my ass haha. GREAT BUY.

  7. AWESOME SUB!!!!!

Posted by garrett on 6th Jul 2012

this is the best sub iv ever had!!!!! i had one 12 in a 1.5 cu ft box tuned to 30 hertz and it is almost as loud as my two twelve inch dd 500s!!! running it on a sundown sae 1200D and im looking forward to getting a second!!! buy this sub you wont be disappointing guaranteed

  8. best $200 subs there are!

Posted by icewall on 5th Jul 2012

I have owned several top end subs. Dd9515, dd3515, dd3510, fi btl 12.

This sub is pure beast mode! I have 3 of them and I'm sure I could do real hair tricks with them and my saz3000d.

I am recommending these to all my friends!

  9. GREAT

Posted by Jeff on 5th Jul 2012

I just wanted to say that this sub is a beast!!!! I have had mine for about 8 months with no problems at all. It takes power like a champ, and even gets a little bit of a hairtrick when i put it in my back seat. I love this sub and recommend it to everyone i see. my box was tuned to 26 hz and loved the lows and the highs and was a great all around combo.

  10. 5 star champ!!

Posted by Duone on 5th Jul 2012

I am very abusive when it comes to subwoofers, and I mainly listen to rap and bass music. I have two RF Punch 150 25TL amps, one bridged mono to a sub, and the other one powering the front stage. Anyone who knows about Rockford Fosgate, know these amps are no joke when it comes to their clean power output. Every 12" sub i put on this amp, it would punish and destroy. I read reviews about the SA-12 and decided to give it a try, and the results are amazing!! My box is 1.8cuFt tuned to 35Hz and this 12" sub pounds hard and loud! The engineering that went into this sub is top notch, thanks Jacob! I would say this sub is WAY underrated for power handling, and the price is just right! I would highly recommend the SA-12 to anyone, you will NOT be disappointed. Enjoy!!

  11. Hell Yeah

Posted by Unknown on 21st Jun 2012

These subs are so sick. I have two of the SA-12's in 4 cubes @ 32 hertz and they slap so much harder than any other pair of 12's I've ever heard. Running off ~900 clean watts each. They get soooo low, I love Sundown.

The Sundown SA series has been our most popular product line since the introduction of the SA-12 in 2009. It was the result of over a year of testing and prototyping until all of our goals and expectations were blown away. The SA series has continually evolved over the years thanks to extensive testing and feedback from our SPL competition Team and our customers but still stays true to its legendary design heritage. It has never failed to prove itself year-in and year-out in every application ranging from daily musical builds to all-out SPL competition vehicles.
When designing the SA series we started out with an FEA optimized motor & coil design capable of 19mm of one-way Klippel verified excursion and just over 33mm of x-mech. This motor & coil setup was then mated up to an extremely robust double-layer Nomex spider with fully tied-on “XL” tinsel leads (84-Strands of Conductor), an SPL competition grade paper cone, and a strong foam surround. The motor also features a large magnet ID shorting ring (faraday ring) to reduce distortion causes by inductance & inductance variation over stroke.
We realized that this still was not enough to meet our goal of delivering the best driver on market in this price range to our customers. To that end we designed a highly optimized voice coil cooling system that has since found its way into almost every other subwoofer we make to this day. This system allows our 2.5" coil to match and exceed the thermal performance of many competing 3" coil drivers on the market without requiring the usage of a much heavier voice coil than required for the design. The result is that the SA features the ideal mix of mass & stiffness to give you the best performance in nearly every type of enclosure. All of this hard work and engineering has led to the incredible reputation now enjoyed by the SA series worldwide. We are very proud of what these woofers are capable of and we believe that they are one of the best woofers on the market today hands down for the money.
