Sundown Audio SA-8v.3 600W SA Series
Posted by Marshall on 9th May 2018
I bought the Sundown SA-8 for a system in my Ford Focus. I went with the 8 so that i would still be able to have storage space. I kind of had my doubts, beings this is the first 8 i have ever owned. I tell you now that i am very impressed. This little guy is just as loud if not louder than my two 12 in Kicker Comps. I highly recommend this sub and would not hesitate to purchase another one in the future.

I have two of these wired to 1 ohm getting about 750 watts rms each and they slam pretty hard. Nobody believed me that an 8" could hit this hard. My friend said he could feel the bass while eating lunch in my companies cafe as I drove past the Windows. They get low for 8's and you don't need a huge box for them. I have mine in a 1.6 cubic ft box tuned to 32hz. Amazing little subs for the price.

I bought 4 of these little beasts and they finally come in, I've heard so much hype on the SA-8v2's that I needed to buy a pair..but instead, the v3's come out brand new. Bought 4 and wired them at .5ohms on my 4000w 6-channel Herritage HTG668BT amp and these babies blow!
That's without the box. I'm having a custom box built as I write this. Can't wait to jam out and rock on down the highway
Mighty little fella

I've always been a fan of 15s and 18s for their low bass and high output but i ventured off to build a mini system and chose this 8 after doing some research and hearing its the best one. I couldnt agree more! This sucker is rated at 600 but i put it on 2500 watts for a minute or 2 and it took it like a champ until i heard a loud pop and i quickly turned it down and pulled the sub out to check on it and it was TOTALLY FINE!!! no cracked spider or any other sign of abuse. I then went on to jam it on 1000 watts for 3 or 4 songs and it took it with no problem and didnt even heat up. This sub gets very loud for its small cone but that huge motor makes sure it can handle plenty of input for maximum output. Highly recommended.
