The X series is our 1250 RMS rated line -- they feature a 3" diameter CCAW round wire coil and our new frame, spider, surround, and cone platform. Linear x-max is around ~30mm one-way by 70% BL with a total mechanical clearance of 50mm in the motor.
These woofers are designed excel in high output DAILY low frequency applications. If you are looking for a burp driver or a driver to excel on “higher” bass frequencies; this is NOT it. We will offer SPL burp style re-cone kits for them at a late date – but the stock format is not made for that.

I got two of these beasts hooked up to a scv4000 in a trunkwall. Ive had plenty of other brands but these things produce the loudest lows I've ever owned.

I have had this beast since this July 14 and its so loud hits 25hz up to 45hz perfectly. I have it on a Fosgate power 1500bd and it takes all the power and wants more best sub i have ever owned.

As you know, the X-12 is rated at 1250w RMS (lulz yeah...) and the DC XL m2 12 is rated at 2200w RMS. To me, the XL is ALL hype. I bought into the forum NONSENSE about how DC FTW and other stupid stuff. My amp is a Rockford Fosgate T2500-1bdcp and I consistently beat the f&*% out of my X-12 with it. I accidentally put a drill bit through the surround on it and I threw some duct tape over it and said, "what the heck, lets see what it will take before I get this reconed!!!" I threw on Bass Mekanik and just beat it senseless for HOURS. It got smelly and it got a little hot, but guess what? I haven't gotten it reconed yet because it WON'T DIE!!! 3300w RMS to a sub rated at 1250? Sundown FTW!!!! DC XL m2 12" costs over $500!!!! WAAAAY over-rated, buy sundown.

Well first off its a beautiful looking sub. But the surround wasn't even glued and the positive negative terminals are broke. :/
