The X series is our 1250 RMS rated line -- they feature a 3" diameter CCAW round wire coil and our new frame, spider, surround, and cone platform. Linear x-max is around ~30mm one-way by 70% BL with a total mechanical clearance of 50mm in the motor.
These woofers are designed excel in high output DAILY low frequency applications. If you are looking for a burp driver or a driver to excel on “higher” bass frequencies; this is NOT it. We will offer SPL burp style re-cone kits for them at a late date – but the stock format is not made for that.

Have this in a 5.5' net tuned at 32 hz running 1 ohm nominal on a soundqubed 2200.
Read the description as its entirely accurate. There isnt any of the "punch" of the sub hitting in the 35-55hz range. This is an extremely smooth, very clean sounding sub.
Swapped out from my soundqubed hdc3 18 in the same enclosure and this isnt actually as loud on the ear (keep in mind im running 1 ohm on this sub when i was running .5 ohm on the hdc) but ive also only had it about 3 hours now.
This thing is a low end beast for sure though! Ive had it playing 15hz on MUSIC with no issues, 10 hz on tones- and its fresh out of the box. Once she gets loosened up i imagine it will be balls loud, as it isnt far behind my hdc3 as it is.
If youre looking for good clean sounds that will punish your car with inaudible tones this is a great choice for a reasonable price.
Sundown has a new nuthugger.

Someone over at sundown sold their soul in order to make these demons. The x-18's shear power is just incredible, awe inspiring and a beautiful sight..... Then you turn the volume up and those same emotions turn into complete and utter terror. I have these monstrosities wired to a true cea compliant 2800 watts for two and I just can't believe what abuse these subwoofers can handle, not to mention the vehicle you put them in. Congrats on a good but if you decide to take that leap.
