Description
*** VOLTAGE BOOST NUMBERS ARE BASED OFF OF STANDARD MECHMAN 14.8 VOLT REGULATORS***

This voltage boost harness fits alternators with a GM 4 pin plug. The yellow wire gets connected to an ignition switched 12V+ source to turn the alternator on and off with ignition and the blue wire with ring terminal gets connected to the alternators threaded output stud. This harness can be used in single alternator setups that are charging a dedicated lithium battery and you need to keep the vehicle battery light off (mostly 1996-2004).

This harness may also be used WITHOUT THE BLUE WIRE CONNECTED as previously stated if you are currently running a regular battery but plan to upgrade later to a Lithium battery later in your build.

NOTE: This unit is NOT FOR USE ON STANDARD 12V AGM BATTERIES. This module will increase the charging voltage by appx. 1.0 Volt and will swell and damage AGM batteries. Please check with your Lithium battery manufacturer to verify the proper charging voltage before installing this harness!

TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS:

1. Ensure you have proper belt grip. If you have a slipping belt currently, increasing voltage will only exaggerate belt slip.

2. Double check all electrical connections for solid and corrosion free terminals.

3. Make sure all lithium battery cells are healthy, balanced and in a proper state of charge.

4. If lithium batteries are in a chargeable state but are on the lower resting voltage, allow your battery to fully charge first. Depending on the size of the battery bank and your alternator amperage this could take 10-15+ minutes.
