Group 51R battery, which makes the D5100R a direct replacement for Group 51R batteries. Very common starting battery replacement for import applications especially Honda Civics. The D5100R is reversed polarity, so if you need standard polarity see the D5100. The D5100R can produce 2000watts of power as the starting battery and 3000watts of power as a secondary battery in a daily use mobile audio application. The D5100R's slender casing makes it a perfect option for those builds that are limited on space.

I was looking for an AGM drop-in replacement battery for my ‘13 Civic Si. I ordered the 580 posts with the battery. When I received it, I found that this battery is wider than the OEM battery so the OEM tray cannot be used and the OEM battery hold down is too narrow also. I ordered a K Tuned battery hold down which shoud hopefully solve the width issue. I had to pry up one of the OEM ground cable holders to get some extra slack to reach the ground post. This battery is A LOT more powerful than the OEM unit. The car starts up as soon as the key turned. Eventually, I am going to get a Singer alternator to use to power the system that I am currently piecing together.

Don't let the physical size fool you, these are STRONG batteries. Much stronger than the stock battery it replaced, and I would run it head to head with any other battery out there in its class. This is my third battery from XS Power, all in different vehicles, and I will continue to use them in the future. Plus the customer service from the SSA store is top notch!
