This unit is for motorswap applications only. It does NOT use the factory Toyota alternator plug. It uses our P101 single wire 12v switched wire for standalone operation and will charge in the 14.3-14.8 volt range(temperature dependent) making this perfect for getting maximum voltage to extra/larger fuel pumps, fans and ignition systems.

The MechMan 6 phase 240 amp alternator for Toyota Supra 2JZ offers a solution to the inadequate alternator that comes from the factory on these vehicles. This unit features twin rectifiers with (12) massive press fit diodes, as compared to the small (8) diode rectifier in the stock alternator. Even mild performance builds will typically consume more amperage than what the stock Supra alternator can provide. Hairpin stator technology provides better high RPM durability, and better resistance to heat from the turbo manifold. This unit bolts directly in place of the OEM alternator. 

NOTE: A 2 gauge or larger positive and negative cable needs to be run between the alternator and the battery terminals for proper function.  A larger race pulley can be special ordered for vehicles operating above 7,500 RPM engine speeds.
